I was asked by Festival Theatre to create a bespoke bean stalk for the stairwell in the sick kids Hospital Edinburgh.  The engagement team at the theatre create a special show for the children in the hospital that are not well enough to attend the pantomime.  The bean stalk installation adds to this Christmas magic.

As this installation was for a hospital I have to be very aware of infection control, all materials needed to be wipe clean.  This left most of my normal building materials unsuitable.  I tried a few ideas and I’m very happy with the results.
